At the age of 20, Tobias Sumpton auditioned for The X Factor with the hope of changing his life through music. Before appearing on the show, he had worked in around 20 different jobs, ranging from washing cars to serving customers in pubs. Despite constantly moving from one job to another, Tobias always dreamed of becoming a singer and believed that the competition could finally give him the opportunity to show his true talent.
For his audition, Tobias chose to perform Your Song by Elton John in an a cappella style.
