Ballet Folklorico Mestizo brought a unique Mexican folkloric dance performance to the America’s Got Talent stage. The group featured three young dancers — Adilene, Cristian, and their young cousin — who wanted to showcase the beauty and energy of traditional Mexican culture.
They performed an energetic routine to the traditional song “Los Machetes,” incorporating real machetes into their choreography. Their precise footwork, impressive coordination, colorful costumes, and fearless movements made the performance both exciting and unforgettable. The youngest dancer even used a butter knife instead of a machete, adding a funny touch to the routine.
The unusual performance impressed all four judges — Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel. Ballet Folklorico Mestizo received four “Yes” votes and advanced to the next round. Their audition stood out because they combined traditional Mexican dance with an unexpected and thrilling stage routine.
