Carlos De Antonis stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage as a 52-year-old taxi driver from Argentina, but he had a talent that went far beyond driving a cab. With years of experience as a singer and performer, Carlos decided to take a chance and show the judges what he could really do.
He chose to perform the powerful opera classic “Nessun Dorma,” and the transformation was incredible. The moment he began singing, his huge tenor voice filled the theater, leaving the judges and audience visibly impressed. It was certainly not the kind of voice anyone expected from a taxi driver.
Carlos’ performance proved that incredible talent can come from the most unexpected places. His passion, powerful vocals, and emotional delivery earned him four enthusiastic “yes” votes from the judges, sending him through to the next round of the competition.
