Sarah Hardwig is a blind country singer-songwriter who has never allowed her lack of sight to stand in the way of pursuing her passion for music. Diagnosed with Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis as a baby, Sarah grew up navigating life with significant visual impairment while developing a deep love for country music and songwriting.
For her America’s Got Talent audition, Sarah walked onto the stage with her guitar and performed Lainey Wilson’s “Heart Like a Truck.” Her warm country vocals, emotional delivery, and confidence quickly captured the room. As the performance built toward its powerful final moments, the audience rose to its feet and gave her a standing ovation.
More than just a strong vocal performance, Sarah’s audition became an inspiring reminder of what determination can achieve. She showed that challenges do not have to define a person’s dreams, and her courage and talent resonated with both the audience and the judges.
